The “summer body” pressure is becoming year-round
A seasonal beauty ideal has turned into a year-round performance, with social media supplying the rules.

The old “summer body” came with an end date. A newer fitness culture often does not: body change is presented as a year-round project, reinforced by routines, trends and feeds that make self-improvement feel permanently due.
That can change the lived stakes of ordinary things like a vacation, a wedding or a photograph. The pressure is not the same for everyone, but a constant stream of appearance messaging can make rest feel like falling behind.
GLP-1 medicines are one visible part of this environment, not a complete explanation for it. The bounded interpretation is about social pressure: a seasonal expectation is being recast as an always-on one.
