Body image is being renegotiated in the GLP-1 era
The Ozempic era makes body change more visible, but visibility does not entitle anyone to an explanation.

The GLP-1 era is arriving inside a culture already crowded with messages about how bodies should look. Celebrity images, advertising and social feeds can make a private change in weight feel like a public expectation.
That pressure is uneven, but it can affect the ordinary work of getting dressed, taking a photo or showing up in a room. It also collides with earlier efforts to make room for more than one kind of body in public life.
A visible medication trend does not explain every beauty standard or determine anyone’s worth. The bounded interpretation is that body image is being renegotiated in public, with no settled agreement about what should replace older pressures.
